Benjamin Harmon
Hello, I'm Ben. I am originally from the Midwest, but I've been in LA for more than 15 years. My background in the creative arts, event planning, and psychology has provided me with the skillset to envision and bring to fruition strange and fascinating events with an emphasis on bringing people together and building community.
Ever since I was a little kid I have been fascinated with the world around me; one of my most vivid memories as a child was exploring the House on the Rock, in Wisconsin, with my family. What an odd and incredible place! From that moment on I gravitated to the obscure and off-the-beaten-path.
For many years I worked as a field agent for Atlas Obscura organizing & curating events all over LA. Then the pandemic happened and we know how that went. Fast forward to 2024, I met Desserin Pereyra, and we immediately began talking about creative collaborations. Together we decided to launch a company that showcases curiosity through the lens of community and accessibility, and thus CCLA was born. Stay tuned & stay curious!

I'm Desserin Pereyra, a 3rd generation Angeleno with a passion for community building. My background in small business and wellness has given me a unique perspective on connecting people and fostering growth. I have a deep love for exploring new ideas. My journey includes being a soldier in the US Army, studies in Positive Health Psychology at Claremont Graduate University (CGU) and an Executive MBA, shaping my approach to leadership and well-being.

I love to unearth hidden gems, whether that's a new venture for a business or a unique find at a vintage market. I'm endlessly curious and always on the lookout for the strange and wonderful in the world around me.

When I'm not focused on my projects, you'll often find me outdoors, dancing, or on the hunt for a great bargain at a thrift store. I enjoy visiting museums and discovering vintage treasures with my husband, teen daughter, and our Jack Russell Terrier, Mr. Riley.
