Western Foundation of Vertebrate Zoology Home to the world's largest collection of bird eggs and nests.	MONA A humorous neon sign at the Museum of Neon Art in Glendale.	Apex Surplus An absolute treasure trove of anything and everything electronic and many things not electronic too. A DIY fanatic's fever dream!
Cabrillo Marine Aquarium The lesser known nearby aquarium and arguably the better one in many ways.	Trona Pinnacles A unique landscape of over 500 calcium carbonate rock spires located in the Searles Dry Lake basin of San Bernardino County.	The Korean Friendship Bell Located in San Pedro, this massive and intricately-decorated bell and pavilion was donated in 1976 to the people of Los Angeles by the people of the Republic of Korea to celebrate the bicentennial of the U.S. independence. It honors veterans of the Korean War and is symbolic of friendship between the two countries.
Bending the River an adaptive reuse and environmental art project, spearheaded by Metabolic Studios, that redirects a portion of the Los Angeles River's water to be cleansed by native wetlands and reused for local parks.	The Integratron a 38-foot-tall (12 m) cupola structure with a diameter of 55 feet (17 m) designed by ufologist and contactee George Van Tassel. Their soundbaths are absolutely otherworldly!	Tempest Freerunning Academy World-renowned parkour and freerunning training facility.
CSPG The Center for the Study of Political Graphics is an educational and research archive that collects, preserves, documents, and exhibits posters relating to historical and contemporary movements for social change.	Topanga Time Tunnel Just through this giant graffiti-covered storm drain is an entirely different world, complete with boulders, forest, and swimming holes... if you choose to take a dip, we suggest bringing some ph test strips to check the water quality.	Sailing the seas of San Pedro A vessel sits idle in a harbor in SP.
Behind the scenes at BBMT Sometimes they have an open house where you can actually explore the back of the house and go behind the scenes. What a magical institution!	Cave of the Munits A large, vertical sandstone cave with a soaring chimney-like opening and a rich history of traditional chumash mythology and dark folklore.	Cactus Ranch Beyond thousands of rare and common cacti and succulents, this business is packed with quirky, nostalgic yard art, vintage soda machines, and large metal dinosaur sculptures.
The Great Wall of Los Angeles Its half-mile length (2,754 ft) in the Tujunga Flood Control Channel of the San Fernando Valley is one of Los Angeles’ true cultural landmarks and one of the country’s most respected and largest monuments to inter-racial harmony.	History For Hire A family owned prop rental company that has been in continuous operation since 1985. This place has EVERYTHING you could ever wanna rent.	A soft bottom portion of the LA River It's true, there are some stretches of the river that are still a soft basin and the flora and fauna thrives in these spots. Definitely one of the more lovely views of the river here in LA.
Fenyes Mansion We highly recommend taking a tour here. The site is also home to a Finnish Folk Art Museum.	The Gamble House Not a fan of Proctor & Gamble, but DAMN, this house is incredible. The poster child for the craftsman movement!	Geisel Library Amazing brutalist architecture on UCSD campus. It is named in honor of Audrey and Theodor Seuss Geisel, the latter of whom is better known as children's author Dr. Seuss. They even have an impressive theremin collection on site, with occasional performances.
Not so fortunate Hundreds of discarded fortune cookies end up in a dumpster in DTLA every day... the dumpster of misfortuned or missed fortunes.	Watts Towers An epic folk art, architectural sculpture, single-handedly constructed by an Italian immigrant laborer named Sabato "Simon" Rodia over a 33-year period from 1921 to 1954.	MotoArt Studios Where decommissioned airplanes find a second life as pieces of art and furniture
jAdis Part sci-fi prop house, part curiosity cabinet, all amazing!	Some fancy pigeons One of several pigeon coups at Drew Lobenstein's residence where we do the "fancy pigeon" event.	Moths Part of the Entomology department at the NHM in LA.
Old foundations Kickin' it on the curb at Sunken City in San Pedro. This is an old neighborhood that fell to the wayside due to erosion.	Mor York Gallery An experimental photograph taken at Mor York Gallery in Highland Park. Mor York is an incredible collection of art by Clare Graham. He has an open gallery every so often, so keep your eyes/ears peeled.	FUN A fun FUN sign at the old location of Bob Baker's Marionette Theater.
Antenna Towers at Sunset These are up at the Mount Wilson Observatory.	On top of the city A view of downtown from the old 6th street bridge in DTLA.	Ink Getting ready to ink a press at the Intl. Printing Museum.
A blue heron This was a mural painting along the LA river that is sadly now covered up.	Cabinet of curiosity At an artist space at the Brewery artist lofts in LA.	PC Mutt A sculpture/installation at the infamous Robolights display, by Kenny Irwin, in Palm Springs.
